4 key features for building a professional, code-free website with payever Site

Building a successful website for an eCommerce business is not only about creating something with an aesthetically pleasant visual. After all, a website plays a crucial role in the eCommerce industry, considering it is a place people visit to learn about the brand and explore what solutions the businesses offer to solve consumer’s problems.

Website development requires a significant amount of time and patience, regardless of what the business sells, products or services. However, not all businesses can afford those requirements, especially newly established or small and medium ones, whose resources are often limited.

To solve that issue and help businesses build a website regardless of their scale, resources, and level of expertise in website development, a website builder presents itself as a cost-effective solution. In fact, today’s website builders are equipped with rich, intuitive features that are not only easy to use but also beneficial to eCommerce businesses.

Here are four key features for successful website design:

1. Responsive design

Today’s eCommerce shoppers rely heavily on mobile devices. That fact is reflected by the estimated $2 trillion global mobile commerce revenue by 2024, nearly doubling over the subsequent four years to make up 63% of total retail eCommerce. Therefore, businesses need to build a responsive website compatible with all mobile devices and operating systems, maximizing the opportunities driven by mobile commerce.

Additionally, businesses must make sure the website is compatible with different browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and so on. While visitors will use different browsers to access a website, some website technologies are not compatible with all browsers. For instance, a website may render well on Firefox but appear differently on a Chrome browser.

2. Drag-and-drop editor

A drag-and-drop editor, also known as a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, allows users to easily arrange and move various design elements of a website, such as text, images, and dividers. This feature ensures anyone can build a website, even without coding or technical skills, making it an ideal solution for small and medium enterprises with limited resources.

3. Visual and interface customization

Ensuring brand consistency across all channels is crucial when designing a website. Therefore, businesses must keep the brand personality and voice resonating throughout the website with messages and words the audience can connect with.

This consideration also includes implementing the the logos, colors, and other brand identity elements on the website. Every color and font chosen should work together to establish a cohesive feel and look, just as they do when implemented on your other channels.

4. Diverse payment methods

Despite the promising projected growth of eCommerce revenue, shopping cart abandonment remains crucial. As reported by Baymard Institute, the average cart abandonment rate reaches 70.19%. Among the multiple reasons behind cart abandonment, 13% of shoppers stated that the lack of a desired payment method was one of them.

To reduce the risk of cart abandonment and improve conversion rates, it is best to design a website that seamlessly integrates with a wide array of payment methods, such as card payments, bank transfers, digital wallets, or Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL). This way, shoppers can find and use their preferred payment options.
